OFG + Dechy od Laury

OFG's musical style has its roots in blues, funk, and reggae. It is characterized by a traditional approach that shows the utmost respect for
the songs (hence the name OFG—Old Fashioned Guys), yet features a thoroughly contemporary, modern, and catchy sound.

The repertoire is the band’s own creation and includes both Czech and English lyrics. The English songs form the basis of the album released in 2021 under the title Old Fashioned Guy. The songs with Czech lyrics were released on the album Stálo to za to... (in collaboration with Norbi Kovács) under the band’s former name, ph 5,5, of which OFG is the natural successor.

OFG’s professional rhythm section pulses with the rhythm of studio musicians’ experience. (Drums: Tomáš Waschinger – ex-Lucie, Petr Muk Band, Ilona Csáková; alternatively Stan Amcha – Burma Jones, Felix Slováček; Bass guitar: Zbyšek Kordač – ex-Petr Muk Band, OK Band, Doctor P.P., České srdce; Lead guitar: lawyer Michal Kubiš; rhythm guitar and vocals: doctor Pavel Hronek – B.LUES, ph5,5) New to the band is keyboard wizard and conservatory graduate Šimon Zitko (Pluto). In the expanded lineup, the band plays with the horn section from Laura and Her Tigers; Kateřina Hronková appears as a guest, and vocals are handled by Michaela Klímková (ex-Petr Muk Band, B.LUES)
