Izo’s artistry draws primarily from the raw intensity of Janis Joplin, while as a songwriter she has also been deeply influenced by the heartfelt lyrics of Bill Withers. Before launching her solo career in the second half of the 2010s, she sang in choirs and even led her own gospel choir. It’s no surprise, then, that on stage she is joined by outstanding gospel singers and exceptional soul musicians—creating perfect harmony with her unique voice.
