Hidden Behind x WORM Loveth Besamoh + Thrilled

HIDDEN BEHIND is excited to host another showcase at WORM with two standout Rotterdam-based acts: Loveth Besamoh and Thrilled. Blending elements like Afro-Psychedelica, Kraut-Rock, post-punk, and a heavy dose of shoegaze.

LOVETH BESAMOH
Loveth Besamoh summarises the creative trajectory of the eponymous band he founded as a "surrender to metamorphosis through music". The birthname given to the Cameroonian producer/multi-instrumentalist literally means ‘To Love / Speak Truth': as powerful a maxim as any when engaging in artistic endeavours.
The band Loveth Besamoh is a dynamic four-piece outfit that combines post-punk, folk, afro psychedelica, shoegaze, and kraut rock in unorthodox, firebrand fashion. Their latest EP Riverbed is the latest marker for the group’s rapidly evolving, collaborative sound.
Loveth (vocals, guitars, percussion), Do Milder (bass), Devon van Wijngaarden (guitar), and Iwan van der Keur (drums).

THRILLED
Heavy Shoegaze anthems with interesting chord progressions and big dynamic shifts caused by ear-piercing fuzzes and huge drums are what Thrilled are all about. Thrilled are inspired by Shoegaze, but also Grunge, Emo, and many more genres. Having played at Left of the Dial and being the support act for RIDE on their Dutch stop of their EU tour, and Tramhaus, this young band are seen by many as the most promising new shoegaze band around. The loud and fuzzy cacophony of ’thrilled’ will give you all the goosebumps you need for the week.
