Girl Group

Girl Group are a Liverpool-based five-piece made up of Katya, Maria, Thea, Mia and Lil. Formed while studying at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, the band was born from a shared desire to create music on their own terms and challenge the male-dominated structures of the music industry.Writing, producing and shaping every aspect of their work themselves, Girl Group blend sharp pop songwriting with post-punk energy, dancefloor euphoria and feminist storytelling. Their debut EP explores friendship, womanhood, solidarity and the pressures placed on young women, balancing biting social commentary with humour, vulnerability and infectious hooks.Drawing inspiration from artists like Wet Leg, Charli XCX, PinkPantheress and Lily Allen, the band have developed a sound that is both playful and powerful. More than a band, Girl Group is a creative community committed to collaborating with women across every stage of the artistic process, building an ecosystem of girlhood, creativity and collective empowerment.
